The most beautiful scenes
\nIn nature
\nAre nurtured in me
\nRhythms of drums
\nWork in me
\nMoving me
\nLike a memory
\nProgrammed from times
\nForgotten
\nBefore I was even begotten
\nWisdom from ancestors
\nTaught in
\nPlaces far away
\nNature’s incenses
\nWafting on the breeze
\nUnder canopies
\nOf exotic trees
\nSwaying in time
\nLike the motion
\nOf erotic bodies
\nThat bind and move
\nAs fluid as the oceans
\nAlien to today’s notions
\nOf selfishness
\nEnvy and greed
\nGrow from alien seeds
\nIn lands that
\nRipped our histories away
\nIn those precarious days
\nIn nefarious ways
\nThat took us from
\nOur loves and lives
\nFrom lineages as old as time
\nUnited with
\nThe universal mind
\nStole us away
\nOur bodies in binds
\nBy people
\nOf a different kind
\nAnd though transported
\nFar away in time
\nAnd place
\nAfrika still remains
\nIn that space
\nOf our being
\nWhere freedom
\nWill always reign
\nBetween heart and brain
\nFeeding my soul
\nThe blood of Afrika
\nRemains
\nBeating like drums
\nIn my veins<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
