\na false archetype
\nof those who might
\nfor victims fight

\nfrom actual foes
\nto that of heroes
\nin colorful clothes
\ninstead we must choose
\nthose
\nthe workers
\nwho must unite
\ndisplaying our
\ncollective might
\nfolding our arms
\nto fight
\nfrom the left
\nto stop the right
\nin their paths
\nwith this class-based fight
\nwe know
\nthere are no
\nindividual overachievers
\nto reduce the masses
\nto mere cheerleaders
\nno Krypton aliens
\nno bulletproof wonder women
\nunattainable role models
\nto convey to our children
\ncreatures fantastic and grandiose
\nso common people
\nforget they’re the real heroes
\nwe propose
\ncomrades
\nnot foes in costume clothes
\nbut those
\njust like us
\nthe poor and workers
\nnot privileged shirkers
\nthere’s no problem that together
\nthe masses can’t solve
\nit is they not money
\nthat makes the world revolve
\nlabor power produces
\nthe things with valued uses
\nthat we spend money to buy
\nthis is why
\nlabor is the source of wealth
\nthe problem is the wealthy
\ndon’t want the
\nworkers involved
\nin running things
\nbecause only they can solve
\nthe conditions under which
\nwe all struggle
\nso the rich
\nangle to keep those muzzled
\nwho might teach
\nthat the masses of people
\nare far more
\nthan equal
\nto the thieving rich
\nwho aim to switch
\npower into the hands
\nof creatures who hoard wealth
\nthe source of social health
\nof society’s life or death
\nrise up oh workers
\nunite if you but will
\nreclaim what they steal
\nyou must fulfill
\nyour role
\nas history’s greatest and sole
