The world of sin

Before whose existence

That reduced societies of equals
\nTo ones driven by greed
\nThis is the root of evil

Planted long ago
\nThat now has the world needing
\nRevolutionary salvation

No temptation by Eve
\nNo original sin
\nThese were myths
\nInvented by chauvinist men<\/p>\n
I didn’t create the world
\nIn seven days
\nYou won’t burn in flames
\nFor being trans or gay<\/p>\n
There’s no eternal paradise
\nUp yonder in the clouds
\nNo places for roasting souls
\nUnder the ground<\/p>\n
There IS a universal intelligence
\nBut hell it ain’t mines
\nIt’s the natural order of things
\nEvolved through space and time<\/p>\n
Of course if I’m not
\nAny of these things
\nThere’s no opposite person
\nWho all evil brings<\/p>\n
No devil no fallen angel
\nNo tempter of men
\nThere’s no horned monster

I didn’t create people
\nIt’s actually the other way around
\nMen invented me
\nMaking me look and sound<\/p>\n
Like the rulers of the time
\nTyrannical kings
\nWho called everyone else servants
\nAnd such silly things<\/p>\n
Who looked down from thrones
\nJealous of your praise
\nThese were concepts developed
\nDuring primitive days<\/p>\n
When people were ignorant
\nScience was young
\nAnd rulers kept the masses
\nSuperstitious and dumb<\/p>\n
So they’d submit to them
\nAs the divine order of things
\nAs stand-ins for me
\nWho supposedly ordained them as kings<\/p>\n
I had no hand
\nIn any of this madness
\nAnd would never permit
\nSo much suffering and sadness<\/p>\n
That pervades the world
\nOf the living
\nIf I were in control
\nI’d only be giving<\/p>\n
Genuine love wealth
\nAnd cheer to every soul
\nNot sitting by watching innocents suffer
\nDetached and cold<\/p>\n
The whole idea of me
\nIs a weapon for knaves
\nThat has subjugated women and children
\nReduced Blacks to slaves<\/p>\n
And I most certainly wouldn’t send people
\nTo cleanse you of sin
\nWhose aim was wealth and fame
\nPetty con men<\/p>\n
These so called preachers
\nPlaying on your sense of guilt
\nAnd rob your pockets
\nOf money used to build<\/p>\n
Mansions for them
\nLuxurious lifestyles
\nWhile many of their own followers
\nCan scarcely feed their own child<\/p>\n
As missionaries they paved the way
\nFor colonial invasions
\nTo steal resources and land
\nEnslave whole nations<\/p>\n
Arabs and Europeans
\nDid the very same thing
\nInvoked me as a weapon
\nTo invade and bring<\/p>\n
So called salvation to Afrikans
\nTo people living in peace
\nReduced them to slavery
\nPoverty war and disease<\/p>\n
It was claimed I gave privilege
\nTo blue eyes blonde hair
\nUsed it to spread
\nNotions of white supremacy everywhere<\/p>\n
Humans have such grand egos
\nPlacing themselves first
\nWhy would a god give so much attention
\nTo this one speck in the universe<\/p>\n
The claim is I’m loving enlightened
\nYet exterminate whole nations
\nCondemn innocents for things done
\nBy previous generations<\/p>\n
No one whose done what I have
\nCould ever be called good
\nHave you save your soul
\nWith barbaric rituals like eating flesh and drinking blood<\/p>\n
The whole concept of me
\nIs nothing but a hustle
\nA means of controlling and exploiting
\nWithout need of arms and muscle<\/p>\n
Subjugating masses of people
\nManipulating their minds
\nThis is the motive
\nAll that lies behind<\/p>\n
The myth of my existence
\nFor which so many have been killed
\nWhole societies reduced to rubble
