The teaching of
\nTrue Amerikan history,
\nHiding reality behind brainwash
\nTo create a mystery<\/p>\n

About the racism
\nAnd terror,
\nInflicted intentionally
\nNot by error.<\/p>\n

Against Blacks
\nAnd Browns,
\nAnd bury
\nDeep down.<\/p>\n

The truth,
\nFrom the youth.<\/p>\n

So the abuses
\nCan continue,
\nAnd the people won’t recognize
\nWhen you<\/p>\n

Repeat the outrages
\nOf the past,
\nSo that we
\nCan’t contrast<\/p>\n

Then and now,
\nTo see just how<\/p>\n

Shit hasn’t changed
\nMuch at all,
\nSo you use CRT
\nAs a trigger word to call<\/p>\n

Teaching true history
\nAs something divisive,
\nInstead
\nOf incisive<\/p>\n

To prevent
\nAny reconciliation,
\nFor the horrors committed
\nBy this racist nation.<\/p>\n

That was built
\nAnd is still sustained,
\nBy abuses
\nThat are still maintained<\/p>\n

By the very fact
\nOf lies and diversions,
\nThat you feed the people…
\nThose whitewashed versions<\/p>\n

Of reality,
\nNot the totality<\/p>\n

Of things
\nAs they actually took place,
\nHow you divided the people
\nWith the invented notion of race.<\/p>\n

Those who now
\ndenounce CRT,
\nAre white supremacists
\nWho want to see<\/p>\n

Things continue
\nAs they’ve always been,
\nAnd they can do racist shit outright
\nLike way back when.<\/p>\n

Malcolm X said oppressed people
\nMust know the past,
\nSo they can
\nUnderstand and contrast<\/p>\n

Where they
\nAre now,
\nFrom where they came from
\nAnd how<\/p>\n

They got
\nHere,
\nSo they don’t live
\nIn confusion and fear.<\/p>\n

This is why
\nThey took a term,
\nThat applied
\nTo law schools to learn<\/p>\n

About racism
\nIn U.S. institutions,
\nAnd twisted it
\nTo include in<\/p>\n

Its meaning
\nThe basic education,
\nAbout the racist history
\nOf this nation.<\/p>\n

So these things
\nCan be hidden,
\nAnd we would
\nDo the bidding<\/p>\n

Of folks who think
\nJust like the Klan,
\nFolks who
\nStill have a plan<\/p>\n

To degrade
\nEvery person on sight,
\nWho ain’t right
\nCuz we ain’t rich and white.<\/p>\n

Racist motherfuckers
\nTurning shit upside down,
\nThose who challenge white supremacy
\nAre portrayed as now<\/p>\n

The ones to be
\nDenounced as actual racists,
\nSo the fascists
\nCan operate openly in public spaces<\/p>\n

The victim spreading the truth
\nYou’re told to fear me,
\nBy hypocrites twisting
\nCRT into a Hypocritical Race Theory.<\/p>\n
