God is what we do
\nIt includes me and you
\nThe eternity of our deeds
\nIs determined by serving the needs
\nOf the planet and the people
\nMetaphysics doesn’t determine
\nWhat is good and evil
\nWhat does is the use to which we put things
\nThe social benefits or losses we bring
\nGods have always been made
\nIn the image of people
\nNo vice versa
\nIt’s easy to see through
\nIn the image of rulers
\nClaiming divine right to rule
\nOrganized religion was always their tool
\nCuz people don’t resist what they hold in awe
\nSo gods like rulers call their words the law
\nReflecting the eras in which they arose
\nIts why they’re dressed in those
\nAncient people’s clothes
\nIn primitive times the gods were many
\nReflecting nature’s forces and divisions
\nSocieties of plenty
\nBoth men and women
\nJust like those who governed
\nA pantheon of gods with divided labors
\nThen during feudal times
\nThere arose the single savior
\nThe idea of monotheism
\nOne god in the image of an enthroned male king
\nA monarch jealous of other gods and anything
\nMade equal to him
\nHis followers an inferior people to him
\nServants who begged flattered and praised him
\nWith tithes and offerings they paid him
\nNatural phenomena
\nThat today we grasp with science
\nWere attributed to god as his divine works
\nRegarded with awe as divine violence
\nRulers rule best by keeping people superstitious
\nSo they don’t become suspicious
\nOf being exploited and oppressed
\nFor the benefit of those who hold
\nPower which is why today they preserve
\nReligion and the notions of a god king of old
\nAlthough science contradicts those fantastic events
\n‘Miracles’ that today defy common sense
\nSnakes from sticks water to wine
\nBear witness to it today
\nYou’d be confined
\nFor having lost your mind
\nThe main weakness of the oppressed and
\nUneducated is blind faith without question
\nAccepting the lie
\nOf a pie in the sky
\nTo enjoy after you die
\nSo those who live
\nHigh off what you give
\nlive luxuriously and you won’t try
\nTo get free
\nSo you won’t see
\nThat what they do
\nIs take your due
\nAnd conceal that the true god
\nIncludes me and you.<\/p>\n
