Have you ever considered
\nyou who call yourselves ”nigga”
\nhow much you think like those who enslaved you?
\nYou’ve become willing cattle
\nbetter yet chattel
\nyour oppressor’s views now engraved in you…<\/p>\n

Way back when
\nto break slave men
\nit took whips hounds and torture,
\nNow you need no instructions
\nyou’re voluntarily constructing
\nyour own mental slavery just like they brought ya…<\/p>\n

Into
\nwhen they sent you
\nacross an ocean in ships’ holds and binds,
\nSo now you behave
\nlike voluntary slaves
\nactually worse – like you’ve lost your minds!<\/p>\n

Think on this
\nit was the urge to get rich
\nthat drove the whole slavery enterprise,
\nAnd all the racist tripe
\nwas just empty hype
\nto make using us for free labor seem justified.<\/p>\n

It was our power to labor
\nthat they savored
\ncuz it’s labor that generates wealth,
\nWe produced cash crops
\nthen worked in sweat shops
\nwithout regard for our needs or health.<\/p>\n

Again it was all about money
\ncreating milk and honey
\nfor capitalists, we were their source of production,
\nWhile calling us worthless
\nbent on hurting us
\nif we defied their instructions.<\/p>\n

So now today
\nwe see ourselves this way
\nhating the very skin we wear,
\nAt Blacks we project violence
\nat whites respect and silence
\nour women even reject their own hair.<\/p>\n

We’re only too willing
\nourselves we’re killing
\nat any imagined offense,
\nWe generate
\nhigher Black casualty rates
\nthan the Klan ever did, have we no sense?<\/p>\n

Worse still we take pride
\nin high rates of homicide
\nin the neighborhoods where we rest,
\nWho else
\nsees killing off themself
\nas some game or contest.<\/p>\n

We pack gats
\nActing like sewer rats
\nKilling each other for sport,
\nLoved ones prone to die
\njust for stepping outside
\ncuz we’ve been taught not to support…<\/p>\n

Our own people
\nto love as equals
\nour communities and their residents,
\nCuz like the slavers
\nwe don’t favor
\nBlack life over dead presidents.<\/p>\n

When we see
\nthose who are free
\nto bask in wealth power and fame,
\nWe come to believe
\nwe must perceive
\nthings like them and act just the same.<\/p>\n

Their model of manhood
\nthe evils they call good
\nbecome the things we desire,
\nThis urge to possess
\nis a subconscious process
\nof coming to believe in a liar.<\/p>\n

Like the syndrome
\nrevealed in Stockholm
\nthe oppressed identify with their oppressor,
\nLose the ability to see
\nwhat it means to be free
\nso they accept the role of the lesser.<\/p>\n

To admire the features
\nof this sinister creature
\nembracing his lies and lessons,
\nThat power’s seat
\nlies at his feet
\nbowing before his throne of oppression.<\/p>\n

So you now accept the role
\nselling your soul
\nrejecting the features of your own face,
\nNow you hate your own
\nwant to mount the throne
\nto sit in your oppressor’s place.<\/p>\n
