\nthink you’re insane.<\/p>\n

Mocking their lifestyle
\nyou want a car,
\nTo elevate your status
\nnot take you far.<\/p>\n

Even when you
\nobtain items that they tell you,
\nAre status symbols
\nthey lose their value<\/p>\n

The moment you touch them
\nadd your own style,
\nSo spending all that money
\nwasn’t worth the while.<\/p>\n

They’ll keep raising the bar
\nto exclude you,
\nMake sure their club memberships
\nalways elude you.<\/p>\n

They don’t want you around
\nyou don’t belong,
\nThe closest you’ll get
\nserving tables maybe sing them songs.<\/p>\n

But like the old sambo
\nyour soul’s for sale,
\nFor a top hat
\nand swallow tails.<\/p>\n

A comical imitation
\nof those who enslave you,
\nThe very people
\nwho degrade you.<\/p>\n

Their styles and status symbols
\nyou imitate,
\nDoesn’t matter
\nthat it’s you they hate.<\/p>\n

You think aping them
\nmakes you great,
\nTo sit in their place
\nyou wouldn’t hesitate.<\/p>\n

Everything they call valuable
\nis what they steal,
\nBut you could access freely
\nif you but will…<\/p>\n

Unite organize and educate
\nthe workers,
\nThose who produce this wealth
\nnot the shirkers…<\/p>\n

Who appropriate it
\nthose from high society,
\nThe ones who should
\nhave the worst notoriety<\/p>\n

As the real crooks and killers
\nwhose business deals,
\nHave the whole world
\nhungry at war and ill.<\/p>\n

But the rich are heroes
\nis the image they feed ya,
\nCuz they’re the ones who control
\ncommercial media.<\/p>\n

So of course they portray
\nthemselves in stories,
\nAs the best of all people
\nwho should bask in glory.<\/p>\n

When it’s all propaganda
\nmisinformation and lies,
\nPutting rosy glasses
\non their victims’ eyes.<\/p>\n

Because of the rich
\nyou are poor,
\nYou have less
\ncuz they steal more.<\/p>\n

And claim the right
\nto hoarde social wealth,
\nDeny you the means
\nof basic health.<\/p>\n

But because they have power
\nand run the show,
\nIt’s them you admire
\nand desire to know.<\/p>\n

Wanna hobnob with ’em
\neat at their tables,
\nBelieve the lies they tell
\nin their glorified fables.<\/p>\n

Looking down their noses
\nat you and yours,
\nWon’t even let you near
\ntheir front doors.<\/p>\n

They blame you for being poor
\nfor living in need,
\nWhen they cause these conditions
\nit’s off you they feed.<\/p>\n

It’s the labor power
\nof the workers and slaves,
\nIt’s by the sweat of their brow
\nthat all wealth is made.<\/p>\n

You build the luxury homes and cars
\nand make the clothes,
\nIf you took possession of the system
\nthen heaven knows…<\/p>\n

We’d all be rich
\nwe’d all be secure,
\nThere would be
\nno such thing as the poor.<\/p>\n

But until we embark
\non this solution,
\nWe’ll always live in need
\nof socialist revolution…<\/p>\n
