Gentrification
\nThe word is a euphemism
\nA sneaky way
\nto display
\nracism
\nTo hide fascist
\ndisplacement without
\nlynchings and white riots
\nOr the “n” word
\nbeing heard
\nBut the result
\nis the same
\nEthnic cleansing
\nremoval genocide
\ndoesn’t matter the
\nname
\nExactly like the Nazi
\ncampaign
\nDisplacing and replacing
\na group for economic ‘development’
\nbased on
\nracial classification
\nTaking over
\ntheir resources and land
\nClaiming those being removed
\ndidn’t understand
\nhow to use it properly
\nso they had to lose their property
\nTo be
\ntaken over by the dominant race
\nUsing in this case
\nbanks instead of bombs
\nblitzkriegs and brown shirts
\nThe tamed name today
\nis “investment”
\nHarlem
\na century ago
\nthe Mecca of Black resistance
\nnow depopulated of Blacks
\nDuring Hurricane Katrina
\nthousands displaced
\nnever to come back
\nRight on track
\nwith policies all over the place
\ndesigned
\nto remove Black communities
\nUndermine
\nurban concentrations
\nThe unity
\nof an internalized nation
\nthat’s proven a
\npotential danger
\nto business as usual
\nIn turn whites in Amerika
\nthey use you all
\nagainst poor Blacks
\nto remove you all
\nand where to?
\nConcentration camps
\naka prisons
\nJust like the Nazi program
\nAmerika doesn’t and always didn’t
\ngive a damn
\nabout people of color
\nor any others
\nwho weren’t rich plus white
\nGentrify means putting your ass
\nout of sight
\nThe Nazis gave open racism a bad name
\nso Amerika had to change
\nnot its values
\nbut how it played the game
\nAgain ethnic cleansing and
\ngentrification
\nare exactly the same
\nThing is Hitler gave testament
\nto his inspiration
\nby studying what Amerika did to the red nations
\nThe original Holocaust
\nwhere tens of millions of lives were lost
\nand their land
\nOn the very spot where you stand
\nas a proud Amerikan
\nA history you hide
\nand hide from
\nBeing conceited
\nbut it’s being repeated
\nagainst yet another nation
\nthe Black one
\nIt’s called
