FORGOTTEN YOUNG (2023)<\/p>\n

There was a time when,
\nWe didn’t produce blind men.<\/p>\n

Because the elders taught,
\nThe youth the things they ought.<\/p>\n

To know and grow from,
\nThe scars we earned when young.<\/p>\n

Not today because,
\nWe’ve forgotten and we’ve lost.<\/p>\n

The sense of duty we owe,
\nTo the youth who are those.<\/p>\n

That will inherit what we leave,
\nThe ground we tilled they will seed.<\/p>\n

So now the young raise each other,
\nSeek direction from another.<\/p>\n

Child that is just as lost,
\nAs themselves so the cost.<\/p>\n

Is a people who’re dying,
\nIn every sense denying.<\/p>\n

A danger we truly face,
\nAs a people we’re being displaced.<\/p>\n

So what indeed it the solution,
\nWe need true revolution.<\/p>\n

And for those who came before,
\nFrom those who crossed the door.<\/p>\n

Over to the other side,
\nWhere the ancestors reside.<\/p>\n

We can’t dismiss as insane,
\nBehaviors for which we’re to blame.<\/p>\n

It’s certainly not their fault,
\nWhen they have not been taught.<\/p>\n

Principles, self-respect, responsibility,
\nWe have the time, the means, the ability.<\/p>\n

Let us reclaim our role,
\nTo rebuild what we’ve lost and remold.<\/p>\n

Those to whom we have a duty,
