\nUsing you

\nAs sensible as a Jew
\nIn a Nazi uniform.
\nHow you gonna
\nPlay a cop
\nWhen they’re murdering your people
\nOn the block,
\nAt traffic stops
\nIn clothing shops.
\nFor five minutes of fame,
\nLights around your name.
\nLiterally selling your soul
\nIf the truth he told,
\nWe need to run
\nYour ass up a flagpole.
\nSince the 60s uprisings
\nWhen we fought to be liberated,
\nThe image of cops
\nHad to be rehabilitated.
\nSo now you
\nWanna be
\nModern day buffalo soldiers,
\nWho ever told ya
\nThis was a role to.
\nTake pride in,
\nThey lied and.
\nFed you some flawed history,
\nIt’s no mystery.
\nBuffalo soldiers was used to
\nKill injuns
\nFor whites,
\nThe same way
\nWe fight.
\nFor the U.S.A.
\nToday
\nKilling people of color
\nWay over in another land,
\nControlled by another’s hand.
\nBut we live in fear,
\nOf cops right here.
\nGive your child “the speech”,
\nCuz you want to teach.
\nThem how not to be killed
\nBy a cop,
\nIf ever stopped.

\nYou’re portraying a lie,
\nThe question is why.
\nYou let yourself be used,
\nTo spread false views.
